PC Migration
Pete contacted Make IT Easy 4 U regarding a very old PC that was taking too long to do anything and had started to become a bit unreliable. He was worried that it would not work one day and all of the data would be lost.
Solution
An assessment was carried out and a recommendation of a laptop to replace his existing desktop was made. Pete ordered the laptop and a quote was provided with length to time needed to set up and test the new system.
All data was backed up from his old PC to a drive and transferred to the new laptop. All required software was installed, and the laptop was tested.
The resulting laptop is very quick and can handle multiple tasks at once instead of freezing. A prime example is Zoom, which he was having problems with on his old PC, but on the new PC it works perfectly.
An added bonus was that we were able to reuse the old monitor and a full size keyboard, which gave more flexibility particularly when doing the Zoom meetings with larger groups of people.
