iPad Training
Adele contacted Make IT Easy 4 U to say that she had purchased an iPad for her Mum and Dad but because she lives in America, she is unable to teach them the basics of how to use it. They currently have an old Windows 10 laptop which they find hard to operate.
 
															Solution
I met with John and Sheila who wanted to start their training with very basic steps. Their aim was to be able to keep in contact with their daughter via FaceTime instead of using the landline which has been very costly and not as enjoyable as face-to-face communication.
I went through some very basic instructions which were documented so that when I left they could practice what I had taught them. This gave them confidence so that they could progress with the basics.
I taught them how to use FaceTime and speak to their daughter face-to-face but virtually. This has been particularly beneficial during the travel restrictions enforced by the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s not the same as seeing someone in person but is the next best alternative and has kept them feeling positive.
Since the beginning of the iPad training, they both feel more confident and are spending more time using their iPad instead of being afraid of it. Recently, I also installed a printer for them and they can now print off documents, which is huge progress.

Thank you for all your help and advice. You have been a tremendous help! We would not have been able to get started properly with out you, and would not be at this stage to browse, work the screen, email, or FaceTime our daughter.
