Hello!
I’m Simon Dowds and Make IT Easy 4 U is my business. My Grandad introduced me to my very first computer at quite a young age and it fascinated me. Since then, I have always had an interest in it so much so that my school offered me a couple of days of work experience which made me more interested. After completing my GCSE, I spent several years at Burnley College where I completed a Level 2 Diploma in Information and Creative Technology and a level three apprenticeship Diploma in ICT Professional (Competence) and IT Systems.
My idea to start Make IT Easy 4 U came from when we got my Grandma a tablet for her 70th birthday a few years ago. She had never used anything like this before and was quite afraid of using it. We spent time each weekend gradually building up her confidence to the point that she now takes it everywhere and is dependant on using it.
I feel that there is a need in Clitheroe and the surrounding areas to help people get the most out of their technology. There are a lot of options out there and the choice can be quite overwhelming. Sometimes people don’t always get the technology that best suits their needs. When my clients have visited a retail store, the use of technical words has been hard to understand and the people working in sales have pitched devices not be best suited to them. I use a simple approach and like to make accessing technology as easy as I can for you. I try not to use technical jargon and aim to explain simply and clearly. I look forward to building relationships with my clients so that they develop trust in me and become confident using technology.
