Hello!
I’m Simon Dowds, and I’ve been running Make IT Easy 4U since 2016. I help people in Clitheroe and the surrounding areas feel confident using their technology, without stress, jargon, or confusion.
My love of computers started young when my Grandad introduced me to my first PC. I was hooked, and that interest grew into work experience, college, and eventually a career in IT.
I studied at Burnley College, completing:
Level 2 Diploma in Information & Creative Technology
Level 3 Apprenticeship Diploma in ICT Professional & IT Systems
Technology has been a huge part of my life ever since.
The idea for Make IT Easy 4U came when we bought my Grandma a tablet for her 70th. She was nervous and unsure, so I helped her every weekend until she felt confident. Now, she takes it everywhere and feels confident using its features to stay in touch with loved ones and feel independent.
Seeing the difference that patient, simple support made inspired me to help others too.
Technology should make life easier, not more confusing. But with so many choices, and so much jargon, it can feel impossible to know what you really need.
Many of my clients have been sold devices that don’t suit them or have left shops feeling more confused than when they went in.
I keep things simple – no jargon or pressure.
I offer clear explanations and always deliver friendly, practical support that makes technology easy.
I take the time to get to know my clients to ensure you feel comfortable asking questions and confident using your devices.
Most of my clients become repeat customers and recommend me to their friends and family.
I can help with installation, setup and usage of a wide range of devices, including PCs, laptops, Apple iPhones, iPads, and Macs, as well as Android devices.
My goal is to help you get the most out of your technology at your pace.
